ASSU-MED was founded on a simple idea: that every patient — regardless of medical aid, neighbourhood, or background — deserves rapid, professional pre-hospital care. From those early days as a small response unit, we have grown into a full advanced life support service while staying true to our roots in the Mitchells Plain community.

Established as a private emergency response service to address gaps in pre-hospital care across the Cape Flats and surrounding areas.

Expanded to a multi-vehicle fleet covering primary emergency response and inter-hospital transfers across the Western Cape.
